Parks are an important part of any community. At Fitzgerald Henne, our team of Landscape Architects is pleased to have played a role in the following park projects:

Williamstown Township Park, Ingham County, MI
This 37-acre park includes two soccer fields, two softball fields, mulit-purpose fields, a picnic shelter, sledding hill, ample parking, landscaping and a gazebo. Our team prepared the design and construction plans, working to incorporate the existing wetlands into the project.

Ferguson Park, Meridian Charter Township, MI
The redevelopment of this existing park included a restroom rennovation, adding barrier-free accomodations and picnic areas, installing playground equipment, streambank restoration and the creation of a canoe launch/landing. One of our challenges was to correct an existing erosion problem caused by uncontrolled storm water runoff. We solved the problem by redesigning the storm water management system and stabilizing the stream bank with sheet piling and Rip Rap.

Wonch Park, Meridian Charter Township, MI
Located off of Okemos Road, this park project included remodeling the restroom structure, adding access to become barrier-free compliant and elevating the restroom facilities to be above the floodplain.

Bicentennial Park, Lenawee County, MI
The work on this park in Adrian included preparation of design and construction plans for the park improvements which included playgrounds, soccer field, parking, trails and a picnic shelter.
